Despite the bright city lights that usually make stargazing tough in New York, there are places you can gander at the galaxy above.
Every week stargazers led by Jason Kendall hike to the top of Inwood Hill Park to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.
The Inwood Astronomy Project hopes to create a real life science project for New Yorkers.
